okay, i know this is somewhat of a question, but it’s not extremely urgent or important. So, i’m already here, and i think i’ll just ask.
At my house (i just came back home for the summer with my family), we have this little “mini-roof” awning type thing over our front porch. it’s slanted (like an upside down v) and closed in (okay, so a triangle would give you a better picture.) About a week ago we heard something scratching around inside of it. We figured it was just a squirrel and that, if it got in, it would find a way to get out. Apparently not. Every night when it gets decently cool outside I hear that little thing scratching and banging around in the porch roof. We really don’t want it to die- 1)because that’s mean, and 2) because it would really be a pain to try and remove after it dies and is rotting…yuck.
So, anyway, my grandmother’s husband came over this morning and removed the side boards that enclose it next to the house roof. We are hoping this will give the critter an easy enough escape route. However, while waiting to see if it can get out, is there anything we can do to…um…encourage it to escape?
Okay, so this wasn’t much of a question. I was just bored and thought i’d share this mundaneness with you all. okay. gotta go. ttfn.
<3, tipi
I can’t remember what they’re called right now, but you can buy things that give off sounds that repel them, but can’t be heard by humans. They’re about $20-50 depending on the range you want. I got mine at a garden store, but I havent seen any more since then, so you might have to call around (I guess it would help if I could remember what they’re actually called, huh? sorry). They work very well.
It’s probably just bats. Relax. They’ll eat a ton of mosquitoes this summer, and you’ll be glad for them.
When all else fails, call Wally. He’s Mr. Rodent Removal.
Hehehehehehe…
Answer #1: Ask Wally. He can get rid of any rodent, pronto!
Answer #2: It sounds like it’s there because it wants to be, not because it’s trapped. If you want to catch it, peanut butter is an excellent general-purpose bait for rodents and unidentified small omnivores.
Cristi, and KP, you guys beat me to it ! Now what will I say ? Hmmm, get some live traps.
The message from Lionsob, was actually me Atesha. I have to remember to check who’s name is in the little box.
Bad Ayesha, bad , bad !
