Any question about how to do something in Perl or Lisp, especially either Common Lisp or Scheme. I know other languages, but I especially like Perl and the various Lisp dialects.

Any question about how to do things on the command line of a Unix-like OS. Especially batch conversions, and especially especially batch conversions that allow me to bust out my mad regex or parser skills.

Any question about Orwell’s essays. In fact, I’d be delighted with a thread anywhere about Orwell’s essays.
