Although it’s not an unusual word, I love the word explicate. As a visually-oriented person, I always demonstrate things when I explain them. And although this isn’t the precise meaning of explicate, the word seems like the perfect blend of explain and demonstrate.
I was going to say that. It sounds like a bureaucratic word, but the actual meaning makes it so much more interesting.
I’ll contribute chthonian. It just means “underground,” but it sounds so diabolical.
