- I didn’t know until very recently that GIMP was available for Windows and not having any Linux install at the moment, I had no use for the penguin version.
So I downloaded GIMP and installed it, and found it…rather mystifying, really. I expected to be buying Photoshop in about a month or so anyway, and I’m still assuming that will happen.
But just in case…
There’s one single Photoshop effect I really need: the pillow emboss in the font effects. Does GIMP have/do this (or anything similar) or not?

The script here seems to do it.

- Update: Weeeeellllll, Adobe’s still gettin’ my money.
GIMP on Windows crashes lots, and I don’t want any Linux partition.
I never did figure out how to do font effects with scripting; the help file is pretty sad too.
Oh well.
