Girl? Why not woman?

I’ve done it, and they laughed. I’ll concede that the many might be a bit overblown.

kimera, men can sense what you want to hear, and will usually supply that answer. It’s not lying, not really, it’s more like not wanting to offend. Make some cookies one day, and make them slightly nasty, then take them to these same guys (sic) and ask how they taste. Moreso, make a fuss about how hard you worked on them. Then ask “I’ve already gotten way too fat eating these things”.
We can’t help it. It’s in our genes to help us propogate.
I’m a man, and I’ve known thousands of men, and I can’t think of one (hetro) who doesn’t like to be referred to as a man. I do know a born male who is trying very hard to be a woman, and she insists on being called “girl”. But she missed out on her girlhood.

Pffft. You think that’s bad. I subbed at a middle school recently, and that middle school’s mascot was a stallion. No, the artwork on the front of the school was not anatomically correct. I was all worried that the grils’ teams would be the Mares, but instead, they were called the Stallionettes.

I nearly seizured.

Lordy.

My high school’s mascot was the Knights. The girls’ teams were called the Maidens, 'cause I guess even they thought Lady Knights was silly.

Well, both knights and maidens were supposed to be celibate. So I guess that’s fair.
