  1. Ordinary working class Joe Blow wakes up one to find a crowd of reporters and fans assembled in front of his house. As he steps out microphones are thrust in his face, admirers ask him for his autograph, etc, etc, etc. He has absolutely no idea why… go from there…

  2. Honey, I Missed the Apocolypse. Scientists develop a spaceship that can go somewhat close to c. One man volunteers to try out this spaceship and is launched into the cosmos. The experiment is to test relativity, yadda yadda yadda. He’s gone for 3 months (his time), but 30 years (or so, Earth time). When he returns, everybody’s gone. There’s a message on his (curiously) still functional answering machine from God saying he’s missed The Second Coming. Etc.

  3. Genetecist falls in love with woman. Woman does not return love. Genetecist gets her DNA, clones her and has a surrogate mother bear the child. Man then raises child to completely love him. Loltita-esque themes and the such.

  4. Man is sick of responsibilty of decision making, so decides to relieve burden by allowing a coin/magic 8-ball/other device make all the decisions randomly for him. (Perhaps too absurdist.)

  5. Cubs win world series.

A transsexual is picked on at a trendy singles resort town, and curses the whole town, causing all the females to become males and vice versa.

Everyone wonders: “Do I come out ahead by behaving in the fashion that (most often) let me come out ahead before THIS happened? Or do I come out ahead by behaving like (I believe) members of the other (now THIS) sex behaved when they wanted to come out ahead?”

Mostly they are in isolation with each other, as they have no easily authenticated identities with which they could function elsewhere. So if you were male and you are now female and are interacting with males, those males were female until just the other day.
