From the local radio station back in late 2001:
DJ Muhammed and DJ Abdullah, performing live at Club Khandahar, the most happening night scene in all of Afghanistan. (You really have to hear the whole commercial, which pokes fun at the commercials for the nightclubs in Deep Ellum that always play on the same station).
The radio staion also broadcast a notice from the State Department warning Americans traveling abroad not to run with scissors or other sharp or pointy objects.
