You’ve pretty much described my favourite kind of music. Here are some Aussie suggestions you probably won’t have heard, all of them fun, head-bouncing indie-rock style:
No list of “head-boppers” is complete without It’s the End of the World As We Know It by R.E.M.
Sheena is a Punk Rocker – Ramones The Middle – Jimmy Eat World Wango Tango – Ted Nugent 19th Nervous Breakdown – Rolling Stones Ca Plane Pour Moi – Plastic Bertrand Lump – Presidents of the United States of America Crawlin’ From the Wreckage – Rockpile Rough Boys – Pete Townshend
I like hooky songs, but the uptempo-est one that’s still really catchy is “Float On” by Modest Mouse. It does have the best hook in music in the last 10 years, so that counts for something.
Day Tripper, Paperback Writer, The Beatles
Anyway, I knew I could count on you guys – I’ve got a 30 GB iPod with 23.4 free GBs, so every little bit helps. Tons of good stuff so far. I sure hope I’m not the only one getting any benefit from this thread.
