Giving To Africa: Which Charity?

I’m not too sure if this is a Great Debate or what…

I’m looking into giving some cash to charity. I want a non-religious charity that mostly helps Africa. I also want something that will provide lasting benefits (give a man a fish… teach a man to fish…). I live in Canada, so I guess a Canadian charity or an international charity with a Canadian division would be best.

What would be best?

This is a project that Bono of U2 is involved in. I don’t know if they have a Candian division or not but maybe this is a good start. :slight_smile:
