Glass movement

I understand that glass is actually a liquid. How long would it take, on average, to see a noticible thickening in the bottom portion of a pane of glass?

Quick answer: You will never see any effects of flowing glass in your lifetime. Probably you wouldn’t even see much in the lifetime of the universe. For more info, so a search. This has been covered in abundance, both on the board and by Cecil himself.

Cecil:

How come you can see through glass?

What’s equus eroticus all about? Plus: is glass a liquid or a solid?

Cecil’s underpaid minions:

Why won’t two pieces of glass slide against one another?

The Teeming Millions:

Glass not a liquid?

And I think there was at least one more, but it appears to have been archived and lost in the UBB ==> vBB migration.
