Glazed carrots - substitute 'what' for butter?

Just a joke I append anytime I have to say, “I’m not a…”.

This recipe from Good Eats has butter, but you could use the substitutes suggested in this thread, and it makes for some damn fine carrots:

This is good to know. I do cook vegan dishes from time to time, and even stuff like I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter contains dairy. I usually end up using vegetable oil to substitute, but it sounds like Earth Balance would be closer to the mark.
