Plus who gets naked to masturbate (at least when they’re not at home)?
I enjoyed the episode, but I was stoned when I watched it (legal herbal incense for the win!) I did notice a lot of autotune going on, which was annoying.
I’m more disturbed by the existence of posters who object that plot and character development were not treated sufficiently seriously by the writers of this episode.
Honestly, they’ve only got one or two more chances from me. Last episode and this were just so obviously not looking for me in their demographics that I’m about to oblige them. I loved first season Glee not just because it had better plot and character stuff going on, but because it had music I loved mixed in with music I can tolerate and occasionally music that I just don’t care for at all. But even when it was music I don’t like, I enjoyed it because the character, staging or something else about it was interesting and fresh and exciting. These focused eps using all or most of the music from one artist are a real gamble - if it was an artist I loved, I’d love it, of course. But I’m meh on Madonna and Gaga and Britney, so I was meh the whole hour.
I’m just getting bored. They seem to be going, not for a very young like currently in high school audience, but people about 7-10 years younger (or maybe just hipper) than me. That’s their prerogative, of course, but I’m losing interest fast.
As was mentioned upstream, Brittney (along with Harry Shum who plays Mike Chang) is a professional dancer so my guess is they decided the choreography was above and beyond what they could probably ask from the rest of the cast.
