Glee 4/21

She’s one of those “worked for 25 years to become an overnight success” stories.

i think everyone who’s ever worked with jane lynch from meryl streep to adam carolla has been superbly praiseful of her acting ability, and dedication.

the way she took the vogue video so seriously and did it so convincingly was amazing. i don’t think a lot of actresses could have pulled both that and say… ricky bobby’s mom’s role off. she certainly does have RANGE, and convincing range at that.

I’ve been saying this since Somebody to Love!

I feel silly asking, but what exactly is “auto tune”?

Also, is anyone else getting annoyed with Rachel’s screechiness/pitchiness in a lot of her songs this season? She has a beautiful voice in ballads (usually), for example, I loved last week’s duet “Hello” with Jesse, but she was driving me crazy in this episode - like she is trying too hard!

And Santana scared me in the Like A Virgin number, with her grimaces and hair swinging …

I would love more Kurt / Mercedes / Artie storylines … I’m pretty damn sick already of Finn and Rachel, and even Schue and Emma …

Loved the show in the fall, but so far it’s leaving me cold this time around.

The device that makes that mechanical sound you hear on recordings of some singers. It was used left-right-center in the 25th Anniversary We Are the World video and is a cheap substitute for a good singing voice.
It has a long wiki, but this Jimmy Kimmel skit probably explains it best.

I think the best thing about that clip is that Cory Monteith (Finn) is filming it on his phone.
