According to this source.
It says he died December 3rd. I can’t find any other evidence of his death on the Web; he wasn’t a big enough celebrity to get an obit at CNN.
If anyone knows how he died, I’d be keen to learn it. He was quite young.

Is that the same Glenn Quinn who played Mark on Roseanne?
I can’t find anything, either.
Damn, he was young.
Yes, same guy.
I can’t get your link to open, and IMDB.COM says nothing. I do know that it has been confirmed that Quinn’s character, is really dead (as opposed to so many other states of being on Angel and Buffy), and has left the series.
He supposedly had some quite serious, long term substance abuse problems which have dogged him for some time, and which opens the door for a host of possibilities as to why he died and why his family wishes (with good reason) to protect his privacy.
What the??? Nothing on the official website either.
Cat Fight, you must be outside the United States. Glenn Quinn’s character was killed off in the first season of Angel and there have been nearly a hundred more episodes since then, in which he never reappeared except in a couple of flashbacks. Yes, he was well out of the show.
I don’t know about this…I mean, doesn’t it seem like every couple of years there’s a report of some young celebrity dieing and it turns out to be false.
Here’s another source to confirm his passing…
It isn’t official, seems to be a fan site, but I found this: http://glenn-quinn.com/
Also confirmed here http://www.eonline.com/News/firstlook.html?tnews
but the cause of death has not been made public.
Shoot, and he was right on top of my Celebrity Death Pool list.
I only started watching Angel the past three weeks. I’m shocked to see that he’s gone. It was just a little while ago I was watching his performance on that show for the first time.
I liked him.
Why would his family not release cause of death details until after the funeral? What type of drug-associated problems did he have?
All of the newspaper coverage I’ve found contains the following line/info or some minor variation thereof:
“Mr. Quinn, who was born in Dublin, Ireland, was found dead from a probable drug overdose at a friend’s home, The case will remain open pen pending the completion of toxicology tests, but no foul play is suspected.”
Damn. I loved Glenn Quinn on Angel, and I really liked his character on the short-lived Covington Cross.
RIP, Glenn.
Glenn Quinn, best known for his recurring role on the sitcom “Roseanne” and a former co-star of the supernatural drama “Angel,” died Tuesday in North Hollywood. He was 32.The Dublin-born Quinn was found dead from a possible drug overdose at a friend’s home, Los Angeles police said Friday. Detectives said the case will remain open pending the completion of toxicology tests, but no foul play was suspected. Quinn joined the cast of “Roseanne” in its third season, playing Becky Connor’s not-so-bright, yet sincere boyfriend and then husband, Mark, from 1990 to 1997. “It was a phenomenal training ground, and I learned things that cannot be taught in any acting class,” the untrained Quinn told London’s Sunday Mirror. He also co-starred as the half-demon Doyle on “Angel,” a spinoff of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” during its 1999 premiere season. Although most of his roles required him to hide his Irish accent, “Angel” was his first role in an American series in which he could speak naturally. “When you get to speak Irish, you become more at one with yourself, you kind of have a spark when you use it, and I think it’s a great dialect,” he said at the time. Quinn was born in 1970. He played in local bands before moving to the United States in 1988 with his mother and two sisters. He made his feature film debut with a supporting role as a drummer in the 1991 John Travolta rock musical “Shout,” in which he shared an on-screen kiss with Gwyneth Paltrow. He went on to appear in the films “Dr. Giggles,” “Live Nude Girls” and “Campfire Tales.” He also appeared in the TV movies “Call Me Anna” and “Silhouette” and co-starred in “Covington Cross,” a short-lived, historical-fantasy series, which aired in the United Kingdom and on ABC in 1992. Most recently, he co-starred in “At Any Cost,” a 2000 VH1 movie. He is survived by his mother, Bernadette, and two sisters, Sonya and Louisa.
Several blogs and “unofficial” sources are stating that he was fired from ANGEL for heroin addiction and that this was what killed him as well. There seems to be no doubt that his death was drug related in the legitimate press.
Strangely, almost all reference to him (including the photos that were there recently) has been removed from the website of the nightclub he was a partner in

Sampiro, I don’t believe any report claiming that’s why he left Angel. Joss Whedon has always loved playing with his audience in ways similar to the “kill off a major character” idea, and he has always stated that Doyle was doomed from the outset.
Furthermore, if you watch the series subsequent to Doyle’s death, you can see how necessary that death was to the larger story Joss was trying to tell.
