Does anyone else out there understand the intrinsic humor in goat cheese?

At a guess, most folks are now urban and have rather strange ideas about goats. Milk from cows is pretty well established andso cheese from cows is accepted, as well, (at least as long as it is kept in fancy packages).
Goats are mistakenly though to eat weird stuff like tin cans and some people assume they stink, so goat products are considered to be “less” than cow products.
In addition, there is a subtle subtext that goat cheese probably comes from Heidi-wannabes hanging out on Tyrolean hillsides and should be disdained as “silly.”
As noted, these are guesses based on reactions I have seen in people. I have never seen a thoroughly documented study regarding the Risibilty of Caprine Dairy Products.
