MIght as well. The line is pretty long for the copies of that Duchamp piece they have.
I find myself agreeing with Frank. Even though I love GBA (which I have to stop thinking stands for Game Boy Advance) the song cannot possibly ever represent our whole country. Part of what makes America great is our diversity.
The Star Spangled Banner is just fine: for us altos, we just have to start in a lower key when singing solo. No prob.
Seven years’ experience qulaifies one as a veteran in any field of endeavor.
I am aware of the fact that some people who deserve to be irritated get their
noses all out of joint when SDMB is referred to as a “chatroom”. Therefore I plan
to continue using the term at every opportunity.
It’s not that have I have too high an opinion of my own store of knowledge,
but that I have an accurate opinion of the paucity of yours.
Addressed earlier, but let me add that If you have been playing the chatroom
game as long as you claim then you should be well aware of the fact that most
threads include some off-topic interjection that reasonable people don’t get all
bent out of shape over.
It should be pretty obvious that I am interested in contributing a spirited defence
of a great song which makes an appropriate alternative national anthem.
I am certainly interested in beating my own drum, and so are 100% of the all
contributors to this and all other chatrooms.
You got this one right!
Alas.
The quote is mine, and only a complete moron like you would would find fault
with the suggestion that a culture may display good taste.
Ever heard of ancient Greek drama and Homer, you asshole? Then there are
Italian Renaissance sculpture and painting, Elisabethan and Jacobean drama,
Classical symphonic music, and the list goes on and on and on. Cultural good
taste gave birth to all of them and cultural good taste continues to sustain them.
The only thing the French hate more than their own country is every other country on earth, and the only thing they enjoy more than pissing on their own country is looking down their nose at every other country on earth.
So, they’re just like every other country on the planet?
Good to know.
Not at all, many countries dislike themselves more than the rest of the world. Belgium, for example. Most Americans are generally only vaguely aware of the rest of the world, which isn’t the case in some other places…
I refuse to engage a conversation with someone who thinks he’s Adolf Hitler.
Yeah but they’ve got an annoying way of being just like every other country on the planet.
Oh, yeah.
I hate that.
Frank, I guess you just want another 9/11. Don’t you?
Bryan Fischer, at the Values Voter Summit today:
All you are really refusing to do is submit to the continuing punishment from me
that your Junior High School caliber posts deserve.
Goodbye weenie.
And my previous reply was so effective it deserves to be repeated in full:
(typo corrected by author)
You realize that, as well, is a direct quote from Hitler?
From Mein Kampf:
The Fuerher wasnt that coherent towards the end, just like you, colonial.
Just. Like. You.
Well, what the hell? I’ve tried it three times now, and I keep getting the same Asian girl. Here’s what I see in my url field -
http ://dumpalink.com/videos/Robot-Chicken-Terrorism-4648.html
Anybody want to speculate on why I keep seeing Asian porn instead of Robot Chicken? (I mean, beyond “Just lucky”.) Bryan Ekers is also in Canada, as far as I know, so I thought I’d be able to see that link okay.
Happens when you spend too much time watching Asian porn.
Oh. The JHS weenie is back. Hi weenie.
Exactly what is a direct quote, weenie?- Not many of us are the authority on Hitler quotations
that you seem to be.
You lost me here, weenie.
I think I’m doing pretty well in the coherence department, actually.
Well enough to kick your little JHS butt up one side of this thread and down the other,
not that you represent much of a challenge.
I think the Fucking National Anthem is “Sexual Healing” by Marvin Gaye.
You become disoriented?
:smack:
