There are probably more non-kosher than kosher restaurants in Tel-Aviv.
In Jerusalem, I don’t think things have progressed nearly that far, but there are plenty of non-kosher restaurants there too.

Hmmm… I wouldn’t say 50/50, not if you count all the falafel, shawarma or hummus joints, which are overwhelmingly kosher. Anything more upscale than that, absolutely. The more expensive a restaurant is, the the greater the chance it’ll serve non-kosher food.
Lots of these Falafel/Shawarma/Humus places are open Saturday, so while essentially kosher in terms of the food they serve, they don’t have the Certification.
