I could never manage to sit through an episode of The Real World. I wanted to, after I read the thrashing they gave it in Generation Eccch!, but even for the sake of irony I couldn’t.
I think it’s because I have a deep aversion to naked pettiness. That’s why I squirm through episodes of Absolutely Fabulous. The show is funny, no one denies it, but I hate nearly every character on the show. If I were in the room and people were behaving like this, mercy, I’d want the floor to swallow me up. I can’t stand it.
