Godiva Chocolates: I wants some

What retail outlets normally carry Godiva chocolations?

I live in a mid-size southwestern city and I think my girlfriend of almost one year would really like some. Because she told me so. Thanks a bunch.

Other than Godiva boutiques, which have a wide variety of truffles and chocolates that you can pick out yourself, most fancy department stores will have displays of boxes of Godiva, particularly this time of year. Barnes and Noble also usually has some of the smaller-sized boxes and Godiva chocolate bars.

gives you all your local swnky chocolate needs

Sees is better. Fresher and cheaper.

Awesome, if I was less drunk I probably would have found this when I googled.

DrDeth: dear sir, we are not dealing with rational. We are dealing with chocolate.

Moving thread from IMHO to Cafe Society.

Have you considered making her some truffles yourself? If you understand tempering chocolate, it isn’t very difficult. (Of course, I just took a two day class on it.) At any rate, they’d be fresher, more personal, and she might squee over them.

Oooh, making them is an excellent idea! Shows you care and it is delicious!

If she is set on Godiva though you should get her the Godiva. Personally I think the best chocolate I have ever had is Miles of Chocolate, which is a cross between a brownie and a truffle. It is really expensive but it is without a doubt the most decadent thing I have ever put in my mouth. You can order it online and it would be a delicious suprise for your sweetie.

Around here they sell Godiva at Macy’s.

Barnes & Noble carries them too, around here at least.

ETA: And of course you have already been told that. Poop.

If you want the very best, and are willing to pay, there’s Richart.

I realize I am a Philistine in most matters foodie – can’t stand Dijon mustard, like my chili both with beans and without, prefer Cheddar cheese to Gouda, etc – but I have never understood the great acclaim heaped on Godiva Chocolates. They’re good, but I think Lindt is better, not to mention cheaper and easier to find.

Anyway, that’s irrelevant. I came in here to mention that Godiva frequently has kiosks and such in shopping malls. You might want to call around.

Dillard’s sells Godiva as well. You’ll find oodles of them in the Arizona and Colorado area.

And I agree. See’s is much, much better. And you can get See’s sent to you. Rum nougat. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Is that what you crazy kids are calling it these days?

The OP has been answered. That said, if we’re going to get into a debate over who makes the best chocolates regardless of geographic location, Fran’s Chocolates up here in the PNW.
