ebooks for the win.

mrAru and I fully understand that at some point we will be in assisted living, and with the way tech is proceding, we will [probably] end up with a tablet each, and possibly one of those PC computers that is built into the screen or a laptop because one of the ‘patient’s rights’ will probably end up with internet access in each room so we will have our music and book files on the main computing device and music and books loaded onto each tablet [we have something like 2500 cds ripped with the hard copies in our storage area and around 2000 ebook files, with another 5000 hard copy books I am slowly scanning in because they are out of publication fantasy and sf from the 30s through the 80s] While I find the whole Apple I-thefuck ‘you don’t own the music/book/movie you just paid for, you get access to it’ … I forsee that the vast majority of people will simply have their books, movies and music as e-files rather than hard copy.
