Going on a 7 day fast

There are no magic pills that will do the work for you.

If you want to lose weight, eat sensibly, avoid stupid fad diets, and exercise.

JohnClay, have you ever seen a baseball player blunder a catch in the outfield where the ball is literally directly behind him? Where thousands of fans in the stands know he merely needs to turn around, bend over, pick up the ball, & throw it in, but because he doesn’t see it 6" behind him, he’s clueless as to what to do? What’s more, hundreds/thousands of people are yelling at him to turn around & look down. Maybe because it’s so many voices all telling him to do the same thing, they blend in & he can’t hear a single one? We’re 3 pages into this diet thread & you’ve gotten the same “turn around & look down” advice from everyone - eat sensibly & do some exercise & you’ll be fine.

You don’t need to spend any money on gyms or fancy exercise equipment, try some situps, or crunches, or planks, or… from the comfort of your own home. No, you won’t see a difference overnight, but come back in a month or 6 weeks & let us know how that belly is already starting to get better!

Well lately for snacks I’ve been having eggs, very low fat ham, garden salad, soup, yoghurt, and cottage cheese (sometimes on rice-cakes). Partly to be an example to someone else and she copies me except for the garden salad (which I get from McDonald’s when I’m working). Thanks to blood tests they found out she had an underactive thyroid.
As far as hormone imbalances go:

There are a few possibilities. I already have blood tests every 4 weeks and others every couple of months. My doctor might let me do blood tests for those hormones then instead of trying to combat all of those possible hormone imbalances I could just fight the ones I actually have.
