Good country music songs named after cities or states

I’m putting this in the Café rather than Thread Games because you have to come up with a good country music song that’s named after a city or state, not just some random song. I plan to put these on a playlist for my listening.

I’ll start with All my exes live in Texas-George Strait.

“Amarillo By Morning” - George Strait
“If You’re Gonna Play in Texas (You Gotta Have a Fiddle in the Band)” - Alabama

Jimmy Webb wrote and Glenn Campbell sang:

By the Time I get to Phoenix
Galveston
Wichita Lineman

Riding On The City Of New Orleans

Written and recorded by Steve Goodman

Made famous by Arlo Guthrie and Willie Nelson

"Okie from Muskogee" - Merle Haggard

Tennessee River - Alabama

My Home’s in Alabama - Alabama

Louisiana Saturday Night - Mel McDaniel

The Beaches of Cheyenne - Garth Brooks

Baton Rouge - Garth Brooks

Maybe it Was Memphis - Pam Tillis

The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia - Reba McIntyre

“Luckenbach, Texas” - Waylon Jennings

Abilene - either the George Hamilton IV or Waylon Jennings versions

El Paso - Marty Robbins

God Came Through Bellville, Georgia - Tom T. Hall

Jackson - I’m partial to the version by Johnny Cash and June Carter; the song is most commonly said to be about Jackson, Tennessee.

Devil went down to Georgia – Charlie Daniels
Battle of New Orleans – Johnny Horton
Saginaw, Michigan – Lefty Frizzell and George Jones both performed famous versions

Does it have to be in the title?

Because I immediately thought of “Take me home, country roads”.

Is Anybody Goin’ To San Antone - Charly Pride

Folsom Prison Blues - Johnny Cash (there’s of course also a certain mention of Reno)

Ooh Las Vegas - Gram Parsons

Mississippi Cotton Picking Delta Town-Charlie Pride.

Little Rock by Colin Raye

I think to make it a challenge, you need to exclude anything from Georgia, Alabama, and Texas (and I can’t think of any, but suspect Nashville may be too easy as well).

Anyway, CCR wasn’t a country band, but “Lodi” is definitely a country song.

I’m not sure: Is “Knoxville Girl” a country song ?

Detroit City

North to Alaska by Johnny Horton

Rocky Top by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

Mississippi Squirrel Revival by Ray Stevens

Georgia on My Mind by Ray Charles (official song of the state)

Kansas City Star - Roger Miller

Baltimore - Sonny James

Bobby Bare - Streets Of Baltimore
