Just to counteract some of the negatives posts I’ve made lately, I wanted to make a quick positive comment. Tonight’s Monday Night Football game has two black head coaches and two black starting quarterbacks. And nobody has even mentioned it, or probably noticed(except for me). With all of the negative race stuff lately it just seemed kind of cool to me that we’re getting closer to the point were people can just go ahead and do the things their good at with anybody thinking twice.
You are so right. I hadn’t thought about it either. 10-15 years ago this would have been a big deal (remember Doug Williams starting in the Super Bowl). Maybe we are making progress and just don’t notice.
I take it you missed the opening of MNF? The clips of MLK Jr.? Leave it to the glurge department of ABC to ruin a perfectly good football game :rolleyes:
