Good Lord - another Texas woman has massacred her kids.

Here’s the story.

She bludgeoned two sons and injured her baby, then called 911, telling them that God told her to do it.

::head spinning::

Wow. How sad. :frowning:

(I don’t really see what the fact that she’s from Texas has to do with anything, though…)

In 2001, Andrea Yates, a Texas mother of five, drowned them all.

I hate it when people say, “God told me to do so” after having done something horrific.
I swear… God is the universal scapegoat for some people.

I say we send her to God in a hurry so she can get her next assignment.

Well, Texas has a larger population, so that increases that chances that a Texas woman will kill her kids. According to some data, Texas is included in the South that has higher levels of poverty, women living in poverty are more likely to kill their kids.

I don’t think the bible belt issue has any influence, but I’ve never seen DOJ data on the religious beliefs of women who kill their children. “I didn’t know what else to do” is also big. A significant number of women, and especially men, claim the original plan was to kill the children and then commit suicide.

The lesson here must be that to avoid killing your children… you should stuff your newborn down a toilet at the prom or family dinner.

Really, it’s all so sad.
