Somebody help me.
Wow. That’s one of the saddest things I’ve seen in a while. Hormones acting up or something? No offense intended.
Aren’t fairy tales supposed to be touching?
I guess, but Shrek? It was a good movie, and I’m not making fun of you for crying (ok a little bit, but I’m just playing with ya, not meaning to belittle you for shedding a tear), but what was it that got to you?
Actually, for me it was one of the special features. The Shrek in the Swamp Karaoke Dance Party, to be precise.
Seeing Donkey singing Sir Mix-A-Lot’s epic ballad Baby Got Back to the dragon brought a tear to my eye. Indirectly, I suppose; I was laughing hysterically and lost control over some bodily functions.
SOME. Not all.
My guess is, because Fiona didn’t become beautiful forever. And Shrek accepted her as she was, not the front she was putting up.
What’s so bad is I will be 50 in two weeks.
You cried? At the ending of Shrek? Ha Ha. Now, if you really want to see a tear jerker ending get thee to Monsters, Inc.
Or the Iron Giant. Man I cried hard at the end of that one.
I second that.
Geez…I open up and what do I get? Sarcasm…I love sarcasm.

What sarcasm? I really cried at the end of The Iron Giant.
For a REAL tearjerker, try Anastasia-I think I cried from beginning to end. Hell, even listening to the SOUNDTRACK gets me weepy.

But, like Shrek said, she WAS beautiful…just ogre beautiful and beautiful inside, not human-beautiful outside.
The only word that popped into my mind when the credits started rolling after Iron Giant blinked was “vengence”. Guess you had to see the movie.
In the end though, everything does work out.

Not that you’re, you know, biased towards the story or anything.

Don’t feel bad, Reeder – I got teary-eyed too at the end (minus the karaoke party). In fact, I found the whole Fiona/Shrek plot touching, especially when Fiona realized that she loved Shrek…
As for the karaoke party – sheesh, I nearly wet my pants!
