Good movies you wish you'd never seen (mild spoilers)

Perhaps I’ll watch it again.

layers upon layers. Key: it’s about moral relativism: one man’s meat is another man’s poison; one man’s recreational drug is another woman’s near lethal overdose. Every single scene in that movie hinges on two different interpretations on a single thing. Every laugh as well. Almost every exchange is the cognitive dissonance of one person realizing that the other person doesn’t see the thing the same way they do. Brilliant brilliant brilliant.

I thought Iris was very, very good, and I’m glad I saw it, but it was utterly depressing. I cried and cried after it ended. I’d never want to see it again.

I also have to agree with whoever mentioned Dead Man Walking.

And I truly wish I’d never even seen Fargo.

Hmmm… Didn’t see that. Wasn’t viewing it too critically at the time. I’ll watch it again.

While I’ve liked all his movies quite a bit, I too think Jackie Brown is his best flick. Of course, that’s at least partially because the roles played by Pam Grier and Robert Forster were likable people. Tarantino puts characters in his movies to root for and against, but rarely does he put characters in his movie that are likeable.

I enjoyed Kill Bill flicks but they were enjoyable only as gaudy style over substance, which I suppose was the point. Tarentino is a visually stunning director. I’d actually like to see him use his vision to make a movie that isn’t full of badasses, but he probably doesn’t want to,
