Recently I acquired a free Android phone (a ZTE Maven, running Android 5.1.) Someone had got it wet, it stopped working, they replaced it, months later I asked for it to see if I could get it working, and “getting it working” consisted of nothing more than plugging it into a USB port.
I want to use it as ebook reader with no phone functions–no SIM, always set in airline mode, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned off to save batteries. I side-loaded Aldiko and a library of books into it. Now I’m wanting to find some interesting/useful apps that do not involve connectivity in any way, such as maybe better camera software than comes with the phone. Any tips on good “unconnected” applications for the unphoned phone?
