Hey all! As means of a preface, I’m one of those nutjobs who honestly prefers camping, what with the insects and rocky ground and rain to staying indoors. ^^ Now I know enough to carry a phone and not to get my arse lost or killed, but I was looking to pick up on more skills oriented on long-term expeditions: shelter construction and the like.
Now I’m far too miserly to pay the horrific rates a lot of bushcraft courses charge, so I was looking for reliable online stuff… does anyone have any sites they’re particularly fond of?
(I tried scoping out a US army survival manual, once, but put it down in disgust after reading a section detailing how the best way to avoid sharks was to kick and flail violently. ^^)
