My mother’s computer died last week due to a massive power surge which took out half the neighborhood. We’re in the process of getting her a new one, and luckily her hard drive made it through so we’re able to get all of her pictures off of it.
I’ve been thinking for years that I need to get her transitioned over to storing her photos online so this kind of thing doesn’t happen anymore. She has a digital camera, but I’d say most of her pics nowadays are taken with her iPhone. She also has an iPad that she would like to view pics with, and maybe occasionally take a pic.
I’m looking for a photo sharing site that will:

automatically/easily upload pics from her phone and iPad

allow her to view and manipulate her pics from her computer (she prefers a real keyboard/mouse to do anything other than a very quick email)

provide some rudimentary automatic organization. Photo albums or some such thing by date would be a minimum.

(maybe) provide some way for her to organize by album. I’m not sure how much she’d really use this but it might be nice.
I currently use DropBox, and it does a lot of this stuff, but I wanted to find out if there’s something better out there. I know that Apple provides a cloud service that does it as well, but I’ve had really bad luck with the sync feature in Windows (as in, it simply stopped working and I couldn’t figure out how to make it work again, despite reading forums/checking with tech support/being a professional software engineer).
