Good reading...

I’m looking for help! I need some good reading for my holidays and I’d love something about turn of the century life - I just watched Moulin Rouge for the hundredth time and would love something about the whole ‘bohemian revolution’ thing. Any suggestions would be great.

nefertari.

Now… my suggestion has nothing to do with turn of the century life, however I’m going to suggest it anyhow.

I enjoyed Philip Pullman’s “His dark materials” trilogy very very much. The amazon page should be here: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0345448898/qid=1025180649/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_1/103-1460225-7004635

It might sound a bit like children books but I absolutely loved them. (I’m 25 years old).

I travel a total of 4 hours every day with train to my work so I read a whole lot of books and those where what came to mind, I can only recommend them.

I know it’s not exactly what you asked for - but they are imho great

I can’t think of any titles off the top of my head, but I do know of a couple of good sites to help you find books you like. Check these out:
