My mother is recovering from dementia due to drug toxicity. She has made great improvements over the last 8 months and has still been improving, though she still has significant deficits. I think it might be good to see if we can get her on the Internet, for the mental stimulation. She hasn’t been doing much lately other than watching TV and reading magazines. She can navigate a website at least a little bit on her own already (enough that she bought some clothes online), but for the most part it’s new to her and she didn’t use it even before she had problems.
Is there any good website we could direct her to that would teach her more about the Web and how to use it? Something at an adult reading level, but not assuming much prior knowledge.
I found one on Google: http://www.teachingideas.co.uk/welcome/ Any other suggestions?
