Good vibes needed for ClogDad

That’s excellent news! Go ClogDad! Continued prayers for good health.

Happy Melek (it’s the only word I remember in Dutch.)

Melek? That’s funny, cause it’s not a Dutch word I know.

Melk (milk) perhaps?

Thanks for the good wishes, all. gum, always good to see another Dutchman join the boards!

Good thoughts to you and the family, Coldfire.

(damnable Dutch… they’re plotting to take over this board I tells ya!)

Excellent news, Coldie. Always nice to hear a good ending to things. A bit of a caravan trip should boost his spirits.

Yep. Good deal, mate, and good to hear it.

Get that man out of the house for a little activity, and the change of scenery.

[sub]When he’s ready for more strenuous exercise, I recommend making Depends jokes. Chasing you around the house with a baseball bat will give him a decent workout.[/sub]

Ok, so the only word I can remember, I can’t spell!
Yep, I was shooting for milk. Is it at least pronounced like melek? That’s what I remember and I was spelling it phonetically. Yah, that’s it.

[/dutch milk hijack]

That’s about right, phonetically. Your memory is not that bad.

Technically, it IS pronounced “melk”, but as we do with a lot of double consonants, we toss in a phonetic vowel to make the word flow more easily. And to hopelesly confuse foreigners!

Skeezix, I’ll remember those Depends jokes, although my dear sister has already covered the market on those. As stated, gallows humour is highly valued in our family: she made sure my father was sent a test package of Depends the day he was released from the hospital.
