Somehow I’ve gotten stuck with the duty of coming up with an inspirational or business-related quote every day. Preferably quoting people in Asia–Confucius, Sun Tzu, Lao Tzu are ones I’ve quoted so far, but I hope to broaden to the rest of the region.
“For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for nature cannot be fooled.” - Richard P. Feynman in Appendix F to the Presidential Commission on the Space Shuttle Challenger Accident (“Rogers Commission”) Report. Cite (Scroll to the bottom of the page).
A favorite saying of mine, attributed to Voltaire: “I disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”
I’ve been collecting quotations since high school, and now have a thick file of them. I also have the 1980 edition of Bartlett’s Familiar Quotations, which in any edition is well worth having on your shelf. Online, I use Wikiquote occasionally. If you’d like Biblical quotations, Biblegateway.com has a good search engine and can find anything you want in different translations, incl. the King James, New Revised Standard, etc.
