Goodby Shelly cat, we loved you

She hadn’t been eating for several days. We knew she had kidney problems, so we took her in for tests.
But that didn’t seem to be the main issue. After some more tests it turned out she had fluid on the lungs, which could have been from a number of causes. Eventually the diagnosis was cancer, so we let her go today.

I will miss you sleeping on my back in the bed, little one.

So very sorry. It’s never easy.

My deepest sympathies.

May your grief be mercifully brief, but may your memories of Shelly Cat be sweet and everlasting.

:crying_cat_face:

Losing a pet is shattering. My condolences.

I am so sorry.

She slept on your back because she loved you. You gave her a good life.

Thanks for everyone for sympathy.

We weren’t going to give up without a fight, we got her the best medical care we could.
But cancer happens, and despite a lot of medical advances it isn’t solved yet.

Sometimes the best medical care available can’t fix it.

And if the cat’s in distress, then the best medical care is to provide an easy death. So, yes. You got her the best medical care that you could.

I am sorry. But you were a good pet owner and did the hardest part right.

I’m very sorry.

So sorry for your loss.

Sorry I didn’t post sooner. I’m sorry you lost your cat. Mine is very old, still seems healthy, but I dread that first sign he’s ailing.

It;s like people have said about dogs, I don’t want to go the Heaven if my dog/cat/ pet can’t go.

I am sorry for your loss. Cat around in peace, sweet Shelly.
