Google Board search lets you search thread titles!

I tried to use my allotted 5-min SDMB search to search for “google” in the title of threads, but I got a database error!

So, I used google’s advanced search, then went to the plus sign at “Date, usage rights, numeric range, and more” and then used the options under “Where your keywords show up:”.

I think this is pretty fantastic, although I’m sure that feature has been available on google for a decade now… but I think it will become my new primary search tool for surfing the SD!

…and now to time how long it takes this thread to show up on google!

an hour later… still not indexed by Google. Bummer. But it will surely get better over time. Perhaps the mere fact that I am replying to my post will bump up its priority for indexing.

Google Alerts just alerted me at 1:33 that it found my Who made this Keeley Hazell-worn bra?, which was posted at 10:21am. So, the turnaround time for a new SDMB post showing up via Google seems to be about 3 hours.
