Google Image Challenge: Pictures for Concepts

I’m trying to find pictures that represent abstract concepts. The sort of picture one finds on those posters (you know, the ones with a word like “Teamwork” with a picture of a rowing crew or something). The pictures can be anything, copyrighted or not – it isn’t for school or a work project. Creative interpretations are encouraged, but if it isn’t obvious, give an explanation. The concepts (with a variety of linked examples) are:

Complexity
Humility
Boldness
Meaning (I know, very vague).
Hard Work (not physical labor per se, but sustained effort toward a goal).

Damn. Preview, preview, preview.

Not sure that was the intended link, but if it was, please explain.

Whoa. Weird .

Second post.

Oh come on. This could be fun.

More examples (by way of enticement):

Complexity
Boldness

Ooh, great idea for a game!

Freedom

Transience

Confusion

boldness

transition

complacence

perseverence

ignorance and apathy

stagnation

Very nice. I especially liked transience and perseverence.

Acceptance

Enthusiasm

Individuality

I’m not really very good at this, I just search for DSCXXXX (ie DSC0005, DSC0006 for the images above). Many people never rename their photos, you can get a good look at the photos of the lives of regular people using this method.

Looks like the last one didn’t like being hot linked…

That is a very interesting method; you get a really random sample of what people see fit to capture in their everyday lives. There’s a PhD Master’s thesis in there somewhere, I’m sure of it.

The bubbles were quite complex when seem microscopicly. I followed your link, but I don’t understand what it had to do with the bubbles?

The link was the same one given in the other thread. A rather large coincidence, that’s all.
