Google maps iPad - add destination

Using driving directions on Google Maps on the iPad, it doesn’t appear to be possible to add a destination to a route, so you can’t plot a route with a stop along the way. With the web service Google Maps this is a snap.

WHY did Google not include this feature on the mobile app???

Or am I missing something?

I don’t think it’s possible, and I didn’t find it in Help. But if it is possible I’d like to know also.
