Google Romance!

It was only a matter of time. . .

“Pin All Your Romantic Hopes on Google”

Very nice. I was hoping the G-men would do something like this for today. Good stuff.

"User B: "I never thought
I’d be writing an online dating testimonial.
Until I met User A…”

The FAQs are pretty damn funny.

More than anything else, the introduction of this service disturbs me. There are roughly what, a kajillion and three online dating services now? Some of them are running legitimate and highly successful businesses with this, and Google Romance will obviously be one of those. Will old fashioned wooing go the way of the dodo?

More like carpe keyboard, but whatever.

Wait. I’m an idiot, and I forgot what day it was. :smack:

 Where is Google going? Does it intend to be another Yahoo or MSN? Mail, Romance, Desktop, Blogger, Picasa, Talk, etc.
What’s wrong with just being a search engine?

Whoosh…

If there conceivably exists a female who exhibits the same google search tendencies as I do, I’m not sure I would want to get within 5 miles of her. Unless she was, like, Leila Dunbar.

Check your calendar.

Me, too. Reading that, I grew increasingly bewildered…ads during the date? How could they do that? Ah, those wacky Google kids!

I checked Google this morning, just to see.

The Google Romance thing reminded me of this Joy of Tech comic.

HA! I love this one

I’m a little disappointed they didn’t kick up the Gmail storage to 3 gig today, like I expected.

They actually ran out of storage today

::sigh::
:smack: :smack: :smack:  :smack:

That was one looong whoosh…

The press release is pretty good too:

Google, needs to do this now. I see serious potential. Especially this part:
"When you do a Soulmate Search, your deeply personal and potentially life-altering search results are produced solely by computer algorithm, without human intervention of any kind.

Note: depending on your personality, you may or may not find this reassuring."

Google will rule the world.
