To comment on the OP…well put jarbabyj. It is a well thought out post, and more helpful than anything else. Sometimes we need to made aware of things that we do. People see us differently than we see ourselves. You made an example of yourself, which was very fair.
I take no position or “side” as it were, as I simply am not established enough on the SDMB to be making judgements, let alone enemies, just yet. However, a more thought out response by DDG might be called for.

For what it’s worth, I do not believe that this is a waste at all.
A real waste is clogging up a swiftly moving debate with parochial nonsense, internet clippings devoid of useful analysis, and turning tail and quitting the discussion when the cites run dry.

Hardly anything is in the fucking FAQ. Do you think it’s funny to watch them floundering around, without a clue? People sometimes want answers they can’t find via search engine. Answers from people with real knowledge and who can explain it in non insider terms. And pointing out Google results comes across as pandering, IMO.

DDG has seemed especially…vitriolic of late. I like her, but I thought her initial response in Joe_Cool’s Unban Satan thread was out of line. If I heartily dislike a poster, I either ignore their threads or only respond to the actual OP. But DDG seemed to be letting her dislike of him from his other threads color her view of that one.
