I’d seen that in Rabbi Joseph Telushkin’s books, but I hadn’t remembered that it was a quote from someone. I see I’m overdue for a reread.
Somewhere along the line, maybe a decade or so ago, my wife adopted the similar-sounding “Cheezy Petes” as her go-to non-curse curse. She has no Slovak blood at all, though I suppose she might have been working with one. Regardless, it does make her sound like a cartoon character. 
I saw this in a YouTube video that is a conversation on culture and truth with Dennis Prager, Ravi Zacharias, and Jeff Foxworthy. It was fascinating.

This could be another thread. Maybe I’ll start it. What words do you or people you know substitute for obscenities and blasphemies?

*Awhile back, someone on the board stated that “j-o-P” strongly resembled a Russian drinking phrase (or something). Maybe s/he’ll pop in and elaborate.
^ Found the post–eschereal states “j-o-P” sounds vaguely Russian for “life is drinking.”
