Here we go.
That’s where I carry my 92F. Rides quite comfortably, and keeps me awake when I drive.
I could use a shorter barrel. When I get richer, I’d like to get a PX-4 to put in the same place (but blast it, the CA law about the mag disconnect means I’ll have to modify any new PX-4).
Ooh, and congrats Lumpy!
Mine is a Beretta 9000 in a Tuck This by Desantis.
It’s an IWB holster that allows your shirt to be tucked it. Won’t slow you down any more than having to get into a CC purse or belt pack.
Still hoping for an OC option one of these years.
And congrats!
Especially because my Beretta 90-TWO is not an especially concealable, I wondering about avoiding “printing”. When it’s too warm to wear a jacket or coat the advice I was given was to wear an oversized shirt long enough and loose enough to oompletely cover the holster. I have some larger shirts but I’m not sure how loose is loose enough to avoid printing.
Reviving a thread because of relevant news: I finally got a job, and it was because of my carry permit! Having my permit gave me the idea of applying at some local security firms*, figuring that maybe being licensed to carry might open up some opportunities. I’d applied at several security companies two weeks earlier, and Tuesday (10-6) I decided to do follow up calls. The first one I called that morning, the conversation went approximately like this:
I: “Hello, I submitted an application to your firm recently and was following up on its status”.
Manager at firm: “Do you have a carry permit?”
I: “Yes, I do.”
Manager at firm: “You’re hired.”
Turns out one of their security officers at a posting where being armed is required is getting married on short notice and they needed a replacement as fast as humanly possible. My call back to them seemed like the answer to a prayer. They certified me as fast as the paperwork could be done* and I started today. When things really come together, they really come together.
*With special thanks to Chimera
**they said I got the highest score on the written test of any new candidate they’d ever had.
Congratulations!
Woo-hoo! Congrats!
