ROTFL.
What a fucking tool.
ROTFL.
What a fucking tool.
Um, why? Other boards let you highlight a particular part of a post and only quote that, and add other quotes in a similar manner. This makes it very easy to respond to particular points from different other posters. Perhaps I am missing some technique for doing this on the SDMB. Care to enlighten me? The fact that the only way you can quote another poster involves citing the entire post in a mess of densely packed HTML makes me do this.
Only morons care about post counts. And tools. I have never understood the phenomena of “post padding”. I don’t judge another poster by post count, but by the content of their post itself. I guess that makes me a “fucking tool”.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Oh, and for people that use moronic acronyms like ROTFL on the SDMB, well what can I say. Go text your 15 year old friends with that kind of stuff. We have a tradition of avoiding that kind of thing around here.
Glad you were never a starving student! I am glad you are psychic enough to know when your dryer is going to be finished.
Oh, and I need to boost my post count, because my ego depends on it, so for no good reason, here is another post!
And I would like to point out that this post ups me to post 1,292! Yay Me! I am sure that will increase the respect and esteem of my fellow SDMB denizens. And lengthen and thicken my cock.
Yea. “Yay” is a different word.
You seem to contradict yourself a little here.
Have you asked any?
Nobody who uses smilies and the phrase “No duh” should be getting pissy about an acronym.
Not at all. Our “transaction” was done. Tell me, do you think it was a righteous bust to be pulling over people doing 56 in a 55 in an obvious speed trap, all with out of state plates? The officer slunk away and didn’t have shit to say to me. I actually felt sorry for the poor slob. I am sure he didn’t sign up to be an extortionist.
No, but I have seen many interviews of the nature of “Ask The Traffic Cop” and this is a universal statement that they make. Of course, the cops could be lying, but of course everyone knows that cops never lie.
LMAO! Smilies are often used on this board, heck there is even a pallete of them next to the message box! As far as my phrasing, that is well within the bounds of expression. May I ask, are you or a relative a LEO?
And I would never use an acronym like LMAO here, except as sarcasm in response to a post.
Man, I am up to post 1296! I can feel my dick getting bigger already!
OMFG! I am up to post 1297! LOL!
If you stop feeling it, it stops getting bigger.
But what fun would that be?
And, runner pat, I only have to pad 87 more posts, and I will have pwned you!
Eat my dust, baby!
Actually when I was a student I was blessed with the ability to add and multiply. Let’s see 2 loads of wash at 0.50/= 4 quarters*. Each load takes 2 dimes to dry for a total of 4 dimes. To wash and dry two loads will take 4 quarters and 4 dimes. So before I left my dorm room for the laundry room, I would reach into my pocket and see if I had 4 quarters and 4 dimes. I realize that this advanced math, that you are probably incapable of, but PunditLisa and I managed it.
*I was a student a long time ago
Well as I have demonstrated in this post, this is entirely possible with the interface we have. Yet further proof that you are a dumb ass.
FTR I have been driving since 1967. I have been stopped dozens and dozens of times. Most of the time I am let off with a warning. About 1/3 of the time when I do get written, I have had the cop apologize for having to write me. (Yup true fact)
Yet in all of those stops I have never had a cop mouth off to me. Gee I wonder why?
Dude, if you’re going to fabricate things, you should try to remember your own stories (bolding mine):
The reason you were in a hurry, and undoubtedly speeding, is because you didn’t bring enough change to the laundromat. The fact that you were poor and starving is irrelevant, unless by virtue of being desperate, you could conjure up quarters out of your ass.
Had you brought sufficient money, you wouldn’t have had to leave the laundromat at all. You wouldn’t have been in a rush, you wouldn’t have been driving recklessly and you wouldn’t have gotten a ticket that cost you an entire semester’s worth of laundry.
Ergo, you were at fault, not the cop. Accept the blame, grow (and I’m not talking about your dick), and move on. It’s been 40 years. Let it go already.
And you never had an extra heavy load and ran out of dimes? My math may be poor but it took me through two years of Calculus.
Yes, I can write basic HTML code too. It is just easier to grab posts individually. You have been stopped dozens and dozens of times? Pardon me for calling BS. And I wish I could meet some of those apologetic cops! I am sure that other dopers will chime in about how cops were so sorry about writing tickets.
Hello? Anyone out there in doperland have a cop apologize for writing them a ticket? BS, BS, and more BS.
I am a Freemason, a school teacher, a retired military officer; a pillar of the community. I am rather spring-loaded in the “suspicious of the police” position. With the exception of one encounter with the Secret Service who were smart, polite and professional, all my meetings with the police have show them to be rude and unprofessional.
Sure, I have not met all the police in the world, but the ones that I have met have made a bad impression.
Wasn’t ticketed for speeding. "Unsafe lane change, failure to signal, mopery, was what I was ticketed for. None of the charges were true.
I thought I had brought enough money and the change machine was broken. Can you honestly say that you have never gone to the dryer after the time was up, only to find that the clothes were still damp?
Except that I wasn’t driving recklessly.
Fine, even if I was at fault, which I was not, does that give the cop the right to threaten me with on the spot vigilante violence? And as far as it being a long time ago, I simply included the incident to demonstrate a long standing pattern that I have noticed. And why should I move on when the same behavior is exhibited by cops to this very day?
Can I ask you, are you or a relative a LEO? Not that I expect an answer.
