Govenor Scott Walker (R) WI

Troublemakers? Oh noes!!

I can’t imagine anyone sending “troublemakers” to a rally. It is unheard of. The left should be shocked!

Never before has the left even considered causing a minor disturbance anywhere.

Yes, I’m sure that what the governor and friends had in mind was a “minor disturbance”, and not, say, a riot which could lead to many people being injured, including the children who have been attending the protests with their parents. Seeing as their goal there was to discredit the protesters and not just ruffle feathers.

But, please, continue to minimize any wrongdoing on the part of the governor. I find it refreshing that people who had no interest in Wisconsin prior to this week are suddenly experts on what happens here.

You pretty much don’t know what any of those words mean, do you?

I can assure you there is a deep and wide chasm between what you are sure of and what actual reality is.

Keep right on believing that, because it will come no closer to reality no matter how often you say or think it.

There is nothing to minimize. Who has minimized anything? Excepting disgusting insults uttered by your ilk, posters seem to be quite supportive.

Excellent. In case you haven’t been paying attention, it’s boiling over in various places all over the country. WI simply holds the distinction of exhibiting the most sophomoric activity. Who’s not bemused at the idiotic behavior of your legislators? (you, maybe?)

Bwaaa, ha ha!

Ah, I see the SDMB has been invaded by a gaggle of tag-teaming teabaggers. I thought there was an unusually strong scent of scrotum in the air.

Sorry, Nadir, but I’ve got the chief of police of Madison, the mayor, and a former state attorney general on my side. I don’t think I’m the one with a flawed sense of reality here!

The thing I don’t understand about the tea party enthusiasts (and other small [del]mind[/del] government advocates) is that that they claim to favor a weak government, but want the government to be strong when it comes to dealing with its employees. Shouldn’t they be on the side of the workers and against the oppressive government in these cases? Or is it just a line of BS, like my employer’s “pro-employee” philosophy? Did I just answer my own question?

You’re trying to apply logic to the Tea Party, man. That never works.

Ahh yes, the childrenz.

The same ones they walked out on and got sick notes for abandoning. Wait, they dragged them to the protest, they didn’t abandon them.

Brainwashing on the public’s dime no less.

Well done lefty.

At first I wanted to respond to your post because it was stupid. Then I realized that it made no sense. What was I going to respond to? What claim was I going to argue against? Your post was a big pile of dumb, which did impress me as it was four sentences. How on earth was I going to find something to refute in it?

Nonsense. Lefty should be cooked to medium at most. Most of them are organic fed (damned hippies!) and to cook them above medium would just ruin the taste and texture of the meat. If you want something well done, go with El Rushbo. He’s fattier, and can stand long cooking times better.

Mission Accomplished.

They want government small enough to drown in a bathtub, yet large enough to fit into every womb in America. They are totally against any form of socialism, but you better keep your hands off their Social Security and Medicare. The sheer amount of cognitive dissonance is staggering.

Typical statists. Ignore the irrefutable.

It is against the public interest to allow collective bargaining among public employees. If they want to be in a union, they should join the private sector.

Looks like this place is full of public school teachers.

The horror!

Wow, you seem to really have it all figured out… :smack:

Wow, your retort is so full of precise reasons why my response would not work. That you so very much for your wonderful response.

Quite. If your opinion on the subject is based in your need to maintain your cushy part-time job you need to get that out in the open. It goes back to that whole conflict of the public interest Thing…

No, it’s not.

Piffle, the former school I worked for was private and as it was small, the churn rate prevented any talk of unionization. And thanks to the current economy they are getting away with keeping staff workers permanently on a part time status, meaning no benefits to speak of.

The new place is better, but still I had to go in as a part timer, so, still no benefits and no union.

Cone on, tell us, how’d you guys get here, anyway? We’ve always had a random rightard or two drop into the Board, like a turd in a punchbowl, splort! But February was an awesome month for knuckle walkers. Most people here, you ask 'em, they’ll tell you. But you guys seem very coy about it, for some reason. Is there some reason we shouldn’t know?

Wow. That stopped me in my tracks…

Not.

Public employee arbitration is like two thugs fighting over the money from an old lady’s purse that they snatched.

It cannot possibly be in the public’s interest. If you want to join a union do it in the private sector.
