Because the Simpson’s are on Fox.
Yes.
Well, I wonder what the schools would look like if we made state schools free and got rid of some of the subsidies for private universities.
Well obviously birth control is reducing the number of future taxpayers…
Who will be stupid and uneducated after the funding for schools is cut and the education system is privatized, so that nobody but the super-rich can afford to be educated.
The 19th-century is fascinating, but I do not want to live there.
Kind of like if a auto mechanic showed up for work with no tools…
Do you work in IT? I kind of think you don’t because no one uses their own computers and software except for outside contractors, and even then it’s not always. I do, and believe me I would be more efficient if I were allowed to use the good stuff I have at home, but the network and security people would have a fit.
Bullshit. I am a public employee. I get a salary which is mine. Once it is my money, I can pay union dues (actually I’m not unionized) or I can stuff it down a stripper’s g string. It is MY money to do whatever I want with. My salary is public business. What I do with it is mine.
What does this have to with teachers crying about having to provide their own computers?
Most public employee union members do not have that freedom.
Duh. Generally they can pay union dues, which give them full rights in voting or they can pay a lesser representation fee, to underwrite the cost of negotiating their contracts. In any event, they pay their own dues out of their own paychecks. Once the paycheck is issued, those funds cease to be taxpayer funds.
“duh” is such an irrefutable retort…
That as far as you made it when reading the post?
When your thesis is “all public employees are scum and how they spend every cent they make is my concern” then yeah, it’s probably as far as he got.
Palm trees grown in Madison apparently. I was hoping Stewart would have pointed this out last night.
Though I suppose at this point, showing footage of Bill’o lying would be it’s own nightly show.
Everybody working at a union place benefits from the contracts the union fights for. Their salaries and benefits and security were fought for by the union. before you ever got there.
If people had the option of working in a union shop while not paying union dues, many would. It is more money in their pockets. People are like that.
The rich love it when they can set the people against each other. While the rich are looting the shit out of the system, our attention is focused on unions, teachers and janitors ,who some of you fools think too much money. As a segment of the working class gets their salaries and benefits slashed, it makes it so all workers salaries can be cut. Why should they pay you more when teachers have to work cheaply? You will not have an option of government work, because who wants the jobs when their rates and benefits are gone.? God you are are Pavlovian stupid. They ring a bell and you start salivating at the bad teachers robbing your tax money. But the money is rapidly going to the wealthy. The corporate bosses have increased their salaries and benefits by over 1000 percent in the last couple decade. That is where your money and opportunities are going.
Unions are not the problem. They are the solution.
When a retort begins with “duh”… They yes, that’s as far as I’m going to make it.
Then allow me to help.
“Generally they can pay union dues, which give them full rights in voting or they can pay a lesser representation fee, to underwrite the cost of negotiating their contracts. In any event, they pay their own dues out of their own paychecks. Once the paycheck is issued, those funds cease to be taxpayer funds.”
No “Duh” in front. That should allow you to respond to the content of the post.
I know that some public employee unions are set up that way. The vast majority, however, are not.
