Government-Sponsored Pole Dancing Classes For 11-Year-Olds. With Newslink

Every time I think Amuurrica is the nuttiest spot of the Terrestrial Sphere, some European academic or politician gets a nifty idea, & I realize that what we do is sweet, sweet sanity in contrast.

Get this–a city-funded course teaching eleven year old girls how to pole dance.

Like a stripper.

What? The Cardiff Council politicos can’t find interns?

All they needed to do was call it Gymnastics and refer to it as the Vertical Bar routine, and they would have been fine…

ArchiveGuy?

Just how often do you watch gymnastics on TV?

People keep asking, “What about the children. Who’ll think of the CHILLLLDRUNNN???”

Well, SOMEBODY was thinking of the children …

OK, so I actually take these type of pole dancing classes in the States, but my “gym” is limited to 18+ and they make you show ID. Perfect. It means I don’t have to deal with giggling preteens in my classes.

My opinion: pole dancing is awesome for all involved (the women taking the class get fit, the husbands/boyfriends/lovers don’t mind), but leave it to the women, not girls.

Yeah right.
Don’t you have a country to bomb? :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe the good councillors of Cardiff Council were just thinking that this would give the young girls a skill for later in life, thereby cutting youth unemployment figures!

I was just about to say the same thing.

At what age does lap dance training start? 16? 17? Do they need any volunteers?
