We had Bush on Sept 11th running to OMAHA. “Oh help help, there are NO PLANES at all flying I have the entire airforce at my disposal to escort me to NYC to be with, but it wouldn’t be safe.” He claims he was being TOLD what to do. Like if he wanted to they wouldn’t have taken him.
If he had a heart attack the country would have still gone on. He should have been in NYC or DC with the bombed out people. Everyone knew there wouldn’t be any more attacks. Even if there were it being there is the right thing to do. Does a father abandon his children?

I still don’t get why people are complaining about Bush not running back to the White House during the attacks on September 11. I mean, come ON. Think about it-he’s the president. That would make him a target. To go to a place like the White House-in such a public place-would put himself and OTHERS in danger.
No, they wouldn’t have. The Secret Service is not under the authority of the President when there is an emergency and they can and will remove him by force if they deem it necessary. He can’t tell them what to do.
