Is it proper to say grace before eating Devil’s Food Cake?
I would say yes, because that’s just what he would eat… the food itself is perhaps without sin, more just an innocent bystander.
Devilled Eggs though, are another matter entirely.
Should you say grace before eating out a hooker?
Look, if you’re thankful, go ahead and say grace.
I don’t think, however, that it’s necessary to do penance before having angel food cake.
I dunno, what happens when you serve angle food cake next to devils food cake? I mean, someone on this board must have tried it, but no one’s reported any Bakery Armageddon… hmm?
Ah, angels presumably know all the angles.
Rich and light, the angels delight.
Dark and Moist, the Demons foist.
I devour all in grace.
Raw human flesh.
Devils on horseback.
No, you have to perform an exorcism.
Yes. It goes well before Nun’s Tits (a kind of cake) and Nun’s Tits Cheese (evidently, a cheese) too, as well as with Deviled Eggs and “Bacon from Heaven” (tocinos de cielo, similar to creme brulee but solid enough to stand on its own).
Darn it, now I want a tocino
it’s too close to lunchtime to be thinking about food!
Braaaains!
Zombies don’t say grace, do they?
Shrimp Diavolo (diavolo is Italian for “devil”)
How does custard get named Bacon-anything, I wonder?
