grad school advice

first post… yay

Let me get to it - I’m currently studying engineering in the U.S., and am considering applying to grad schools to study electrical engineering when I graduate next year. Trouble is - my GPA isn’t exactly stellar. It should be about 3.15 - 3.20 by the time I graduate. My GRE scores put me in the 87th percentile. Which schools would I stand a chance of getting into? Also, i’m a foreign student (Sri Lanka). How will this affect me in terms of funding etc.?

Another thing - the grading policy at my school is fairly strict. My GPA is probably in the top 1/4th of my class. But my school is really small (about 650 students) and isn’t very well known. Will this help my case at all?

Any input/advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Sonali

IANAGS (Grad Student) but here’s stuff I hear

For EE, that GPA’s not bad, its not the best, but better than 70% probably.

Here’s what helps you get into grad school, IMO

1 - Research experience
2 - Being a good student
3 - Good GRE

Grad school admissions are more personalized than undergad, they deal with fewer applicants. So youre not as bad off as you think.
