Grammar/Etymology: "Mind/mine as well"

Well, obviously this is a mistake of not pronouncing fully the final ‘t’ in might, which then gets interpreted as being heard as ‘mind’ or ‘mine.’ And, as stated, both mine and mind are absurd, and not what was intended.

But this bolsters the point I made in this thread: could care less/couldnt care less. That mis-sayings are the products of mis-pronunciations or mis-hearings, and not a true attempt at being ironical.

Unless a defender of ‘could care less’ would like to point out the irony of ‘mind as well’?
