I know how you feel, Little Nemo. I finally mastered colon use in 2005 after seeing the rissole I’d eaten in 1989. Now it seems so alimentary.

Aw! I was hoping for something on when to use a colon versus a dash or semicolon. I avoid the colon as much as possible, but I wonder if my dashes make me look stupid.
